Mia served as a Senior Community School Director in the South Bronx for over 6 years. With an educational background in public health and experience working in schools, non-profit and community-based organizations, she is passionate about supporting children and families at the intersection of health and education. Previously, Mia designed and facilitated learning, capacity building, and technical assistance among schools in NYC and Albany as they looked to initiate, grow, and refine their practices. She currently develops content, facilitates workshops and delivers presentations at national, state and local NYC conferences on various community school and school-based health care practices.
